Regional Open Summer Tournament Announced by Dreamhack

Not so long ago, Dreamhack made a statement that announced they would host the future Open CS: GO online circuit during this Summer.

It will take part in four regions, and replace the CS: GO’s DreamHack Opens, lots of wichs were canceled due to coronavirus outbreak.

More About the Future Championships

All of the following tournaments will hold online, and the whole four will go from July until the end of August. Events will involve teams from Asia, Oceania, Europe, and North America.

The tournament in every region will split into two stages. The prize pool for the first stage will be about $ 10 000 for the winner, and two spots in the second stage of each tournament.

Before the first stage of each competition, they will also organize open qualified games. Four teams that will show the highest results during those qualifies will proceed to the first stage.

After the most strong two competitors are determined during the first stage of the Dreamhack Open, the second stage will begin. Those teams will face some number of invited teams. The format of future games has not announced yet.

The Main Prize

The final prize pool for the winners of the second stage in North America and Europe will be about $ 90 000. European and American winners may get the final prize of $ 35 000.

The prize pool in Asia and Oceania are significantly lower: only $ 40 000. Winners of these competitions will get about $ 17 500.
