Disbanding of the Winstrike team roster was confirmed
There is a common fact, that in CIS many teams prefer to play most of their games with the core players and doubling down on their rosters. But the Winstrike team decided to completely disband their roster due to poor results.
What actually happened?
The new team roster was built around two old Virtus.pro players Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan and Ilya “ALOHADANCE” Korobki. After that, the team lost all the qualifying rounds for all known Dota 2 Pro Circuit and also didn`t show great results in any other kinds of events.
When it appears, that they will not participate in ESL One Los Angeles Major closed qualifies, the chief of the team decided to disband the whole roster. “We want to give our apologies for all of the fans and supporters of the team firstly”, said the main manager of Winstrike.
What will be happened next?
It seems like the heads of the team planning to start a whole new chapter in the history of the team. Andrej Kvasnevskij said in his last press: “For the time being, we are not turning our backs on the activity of Dota 2 division. We will try a new approach to forming a line-up.”
Let us remind, that the members of Winstrike Maxim “mellojul” Pnyov and Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin was sent to the bench in December. Now they both and the remaining team are free agents again. Maria “Inverno” Gunina, the main manager of the team, was fired too.
