DOTA Summit 12: First Results

From the 10th to the 13th of March in Los Angeles at the Summit House takes place the DOTA Summit 12. Six teams are fighting with each other to share a prize pool of 150 000 USA dollars.

The participants at the DOTA Summit 12 are Cloud9, Thunder Predator, OG Seed, Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, and Fnatic. All of these teams received a direct invitation from the organizations of the championship.

A few more words about the Summit

The group stage is the first degree that all teams are passing by right now. It holds in the traditional format, called Round Robbin Mode. All the Summit has a BO2 format, so no teams will not be excluded from the pool, but the results of their play will determine the two of them, which will face each other in the playoff.

The final stage will hold at the Double Elimination grid. Four of the top teams will go to the upper bracket, while the worst two will go right to the bottom one. Playoffs, but not the Grand Final, will be played in a BO3 format.

The Grand final will be in a BO5 format, which means that the future winner will have to make three victories to become a champion.
