NFL Matches Could Contribute to the Coronavirus Outbreak Even Without Fans

Dr. Anthony Fauci, in his interview with NBC Sports', mentioned that even without fans on stadiums, NFL matches could become "ideal setup for spreading the virus."

"As for me, it's excellent if players with negative test results will play behind the closed doors on empty stadiums," continued Dr. Anthony Fauci. "But, you should understand that I can't give any warranties."

More Details About the Statement

"In any case, everything depends on the level of infection spread inside the community," said Fauci. "If it will be still high, we can't even talk about starting matches again, with or without observers."

Dr. Anthony gave a brief review of the possible ways of the virus spreading among footballers. Even if the virus is not transmitted via sweat, the one who suffers from the virus could quickly spread it through other parts of the body, e.g., hands.

"It's not a problem when only one player in the team got a positive test result. Then he just had to go away, and that's all," continued Fauci. "But when, for example, four members of the team are ill, the whole team should stay away from further competition."
