Troy Deeney and His Family Abused Over COVID-19 Stance

Troy Deeney, the captain of Watford, said that he's being abused online and publicly for his numerous concerns regarding restarting of the Premier League in the coronavirus pandemic situation.

Deeney said that people wished him and the whole family members to get a disease and continuously told him to "get back to work."

"'Really hope that your child wild get the coronavirus disease.' This comment I found today on my social media from different people," said Deeney. "And that is the hardest part for me, because if you answer them, then they will keep doing all that stuff."

At the same time, Denney's son is only five months old and was born prematurely, which leads to numerous breathing problems. "It is enormously hard for me to hear all of these replies and bad wishes, while my child has such a condition," continued football star.

All the clubs gathered not so long ago and had an anonymous vote, about continuing the Premier League games. They decided to 'return to the training protocol,' and the Premier League announced after that, that four of the players are three members of the staff from different clubs tested positive for COVID - 19.

Denney was one of the star players who publically concerned about the possible delay of the Premier League returning, so now he believes that other football players may be fearful of talking about their concerns.
