MAD Lions Buy CS:GO Roster from Tricked Esports

The Spanish esports organization MAD Lions has disbanded their Spanish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to make space for a Danish roster, which was bought out from the Danish club Tricked Esports reportedly for a six-figure sum. Besides that, the organization hired a 31-years-old Australian coach Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu.

The roster consists of five Danish players, among which are Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen, Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, Rasmus "Sjuush" Beck, and Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen. Being part of Tricked Esports, the team recently placed 2nd at both WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 and DreamHack Open Winter 2019. Earlier this year they also emerged victorious at V4 Future Sports Festival – Budapest 2019.

Peacemaker, a former Counter-Strike player, started his coach career in 2015. Since then he coached multiple teams, including Tempo Storm, Team Liquid, Misfits Gaming, TyLoo and most recently Heroic.

MAD Lions was formed in 2017 as MAD Lions Esports Club, this month they merged with Splyce. Currently the organization also has a European roster in League of Legends and manages Toronto Defiant in Overwatch League and Toronto Ultra in Call of Duty League.
